April: Learning About Pantomime

Pantomime is an important part of dance that is too often neglected. Dancers have to be able to tell a story with their dance, using the fundamentals of pantomime.  We will be discussing pantomime and dramatic expression and the role these concepts play in our everyday lives, as well as in dancing.

We will also be reviewing the movement concepts we have explored this year--

Level,  Tempo, Energy, Shapes, Place and Direction.

Important dates to reserve on your calendar:  May 7 & 8, 2018 will be mandatory recital practice and picture days at Trinity Evangelical Church.

May 12:  11 am or 2 pm: Recital!

Simple Gifts Dance Weather Policy:  If Upper Sandusky Schools should close for weather, dance classes will be canceled.

*Delays will not affect classes*

If your dancer's class is canceled due to weather, they are welcome to attend an age appropriate alternate class time.

Cold and flu season is upon us, out of respect for other students and teachers, please keep your dancer home if they are sick.
